Red Sox-Blue Jays highlights: Sox lose Game 1 of doubleheader, 8-7

The Boston Red Sox lost their fifth straight game on Friday as they fell to the Toronto Blue Jays in Game 1 of their doubleheader at Fenway Park.

Zack Godley took the hill for Boston, allowing four runs in three innings of work. Blue Jays starter Tanner Roark allowed four runs in 4.1 innings pitched.

Yairo Munoz notched his first homer in a Red Sox uniform and drove in three runs. Fellow infielder Jose Peraza knocked in two runs of his own, and Michael Chavis drove in one as well.

For the Blue Jays, former Red Sox Travis Shaw crushed a home run as did catcher Danny Jansen. Randal Grichuk did some damage as well with two RBI.

FINAL SCORE: Blue Jays 8, Red Sox 7
