The Boston Red Sox are hoping David Price can help the team get back on track when he takes the mound for Sunday afternoon's game against the Baltimore Orioles at Fenway Park.
The Sox fell 9-5 to the Orioles on Saturday, dropping them to a disappointing 5-10 record through 15 games of their World Series title defense.
Price is still looking for his first win of the year entering his third start of 2019. He is 0-1 with a 6.00 ERA, a 1.25 WHIP, 13 strikeouts and three walks over 12 innings.
Dustin Pedroia will be the designated hitter and bat leadoff, pushing Mookie Betts to second in Boston's lineup. Andrew Benintendi will start on the bench, giving J.D. Martinez an opportunity to play left field. Eduardo Nunez will play second base and bat sixth.
Here are the Sunday lineups for both teams.
UPDATE (11:25 a.m.): Jackie Bradley Jr. is no longer starting for the Red Sox. He was a late scratch and per NBC Sports Boston's John Tomase, he has the flu. With Bradley out, Benintendi will move back into the starting lineup. He'll bat leadoff, which pushes Pedroia down to sixth in the order. Left to right, the Red Sox outfield will feature Benintendi, Betts, and Martinez.
UPDATE (12:25 p.m.): The Orioles now have a late scratch as well. Dwight Smith Jr. has a sore right knee and while he's available to play, he won't start. Cedric Mullins will play centerfield and that will shuffle the Orioles' lineup a bit.
