The Red Sox have a chance to clinch the A.L. East today, but they're going to have to wait a few hours before a potential celebration can start.

The Sox were scheduled to play a day game at Yankee Stadium, beginning at 1:05 p.m., but New York is currently being hit with the remnants of Hurricane Florence. So the starting time has been kicked back six hours, to 7:05 p.m., making it a normal night game.

The rain is supposed to be finished by nightfall, with partly cloudy skies forecast for this evening.

The Red Sox magic number for winning the A.L. East is two, meaning they'll take the crown -- their third consecutive division title -- with one victory over the second-place Yankees.
