Eduardo Nunez didn't waste much time deciding his future in Boston after winning the World Series.

The Red Sox utility infielder picked up his player option, worth $5 million, for the 2019 season according to MLB.com's Jesse Sanchez.

Nunez, who came through with a pinch-hit, three-run homer in World Series Game 1, will provide flexibility in the infield while Dustin Pedroia works his way back into the lineup. The 31-year-old hit .265 with 10 homers in 127 games with the Red Sox this season.
