Pearce agreed to rejoin the Sox on Friday. He came to terms on a one-year deal at the relatively bargain price of $6.25 million (his same salary as last season). As was well-chronicled during the World Series, Pearce grew up a Red Sox fan in Florida. His father is from Rehoboth, Mass., and his brother is such a big Patriots fan he named his son Brady, but calls him Tommy.
