Tickets for ALDS Game 3 at Fenway were still available Saturday night

BOSTON — As of 10:30 p.m. Saturday, there were still tickets available for what could be the only playoff game at Fenway Park this season, Game 3 of the American League Division Series on Sunday afternoon.

It appeared odd for the Sox to still have tickets available so close to a 2:30 p.m. first pitch, considering it's a holiday weekend and maybe the only chance to catch playoff baseball in Boston this year.

But, the team said the number of tickets that came available is in the hundreds, not thousands, and is part of a normal practice of releasing tickets previously held for MLB, the visiting team, players and others 24 hours to 48 hours before a game.

Anywhere from 1-4 seats together were available at RedSox.com for the Doug Fister-Brad Peacock match-up on a holiday weekend.
