A couple guys who a thing or two about winning titles congratulated the Red Sox on their World Series victory.

Tom Brady and Bill Belichick both commended the Sox on their championship. Belichick after the Patriots' win over the Bills, and Tom Brady on on Westwood One.

"First of all, big congratulations to Dave (Dombrowski), Tony (La Russa), Alex (Cora) and the Red Sox for a great season, a championship, and just a fabulous year, Belichick said. "They've set the bar awfully high, so it was a good weekend for Boston."

While Belichick kept his message short and sweet, Brady had a bit more to say. The five-time Super Bowl champion talked about how great the Red Sox' championship is for the city of Boston.

"I watched a little part of it last night," Brady said. "That's pretty great for the city of Boston. They love baseball. When I got to the Patriots in 2000, it was entirely a baseball town and they were so ready for a world championship in baseball. Eighteen years later, they've got four championships. It's been a pretty amazing run by that team. They've had an incredible year and really a dominating postseason, so what more can you say?"

Brady also touched on how the Red Sox have, like the Patriots, maintained their success over the years along with compliments for both the Celtics and Bruins.

"For us as a team, it's been incredible to part of an organization that's had sustained success... and the Red Sox, they've done the same, Brady said. They play in a very challenging division with the Yankees. It's been amazing to see that transpire over the course of my time in Boston. I love baseball; I have since I was a kid. And to root for the Red Sox, to watch them win, to watch them win this year and dominate every single series all year was incredible. The Celtics are one of the up and coming teams with some incredible players. They had a great year last year and they've added back two of their best players this year in Kyrie Irving and Gordon Hayward. And the Bruins have had a great tradition."

"What a great place to be for sports, Brady continued. "What a great era to be growing up in Boston, really the Northeast and the six states that make up New England, because there are a lot of winning teams to cheer for, and I know that really inspires a lot of kids because it inspired me when I was rooting for the 49ers. So maybe there's going to be a lot of great athletes coming out of that region in about 15 years with all the winning and all the joy that really brings families together and makes you be a part of the community. It's pretty special."

As the Red Sox celebrate a championship, the Patriots celebrate a Monday Night Football win over the Bills to improve to 6-2 on the season.
