The New York Mets will be thrilled to leave Boston and not see Kyle Schwarber again this season.
The Boston Red Sox slugger crushed two homers in two innings during Wednesday's series finale. The first was a 439-foot missile to dead center field that opened the scoring in the first inning.
In his next at-bat, Schwarber took Taijuan Walker deep again. This time, a 405-foot three-run blast to extend Boston's lead to five.
Schwarber now has nine homers in 10 games (36 at-bats) against the Mets this season. His other seven came with the Washington Nationals.
With his two homers Wednesday night, Schwarber is up to six with Boston and 31 on the campaign.
