WATCH: Sox slugger Bobby Dalbec crushes grand slam

Bobby Dalbec's power surge has been one of the most intriguing storylines of spring training for the Boston Red Sox.

The 25-year-old first baseman impressed at the plate in 2020, crushing eight home runs with a .959 OPS over 23 games. So far this spring, Dalbec has four home runs and eight RBI in seven games.

One of those homers was a grand slam Wednesday against the Atlanta Braves. Check out Dalbec's blast below:

Dalbec also raised eyebrows last week when he smashed two opposite-field homers in the same game vs. the Minnesota Twins. If he can carry his slugging into the 2021 campaign, Dalbec will be a key part of a Red Sox lineup that already was expected to score plenty of runs.

The real question mark for Boston will be the pitching staff, which enjoyed a solid day vs. Atlanta. Although Matt Andriese struggled in his start (3 IP, 3 H, 3 ER), Adam Ottavino looked solid in his first Red Sox appearance striking out two Braves hitters and allowing one hit in one inning pitched. Tanner Houck shined in relief, striking out three and allowing one hit in three innings.

Next up for the Red Sox is a meeting with the Twins on Thursday at 1:05 p.m. ET.
