WATCH: Xander Bogaerts reaches milestone with 100th, 101st home runs

Rafael Devers has (rightfully) been hogging the Red Sox headlines after his record-setting 6-for-6 night Tuesday put another exclamation point on his breakout season at the plate.

But the other player who mans the left side of the Boston infield continues to put up some amazing numbers himself.

Xander Bogaerts added to his incredible season Wednesday afternoon by slugging the 100th home run of his career, a solo shot to the right field corner off Cleveland starter Shane Bieber.

With the blast, Bogaerts became the 31st player in Red Sox history — and sixth shortstop — to reach the century mark in Boston, joining Rico Petrocelli (210), Nomar Garciaparra (178), Vern Stephens (122), John Valentine (121) and Joe Cronin (119).

And Bogaerts didn't wait very long to get started on his next hundred homers. Four innings later, Indiana manager Terry Francona intentionally walked the red-hot Devers to get to Bogaerts, who promptly hit career homer #101.

Bogaerts and Devers are now the only two players in the majors this season who are hitting over .300 with 25+ home runs, 90+ RBI and 40+ doubles this season.

And even in the middle of a disappointing Red Sox season, the six-year, $120 million contract that Bogaerts signed at the start of the year is looking like it could be the shrewdest move of the year.
