The Boston Red Sox farm system is on the rise, but how does it stack up against the rest of Major League Baseball?
According to Baseball America's midseason organization talent rankings, the Red Sox sit just outside the top 10 with the 11th best farm system in the league. They also ranked 11th on Baseball America's preseason list.

The 10 teams ahead of Boston are the Baltimore Orioles, Los Angeles Dodgers, Cleveland Guardians, Arizona Diamondbacks, Cincinnati Reds, Texas Rangers, St. Louis Cardinals, New York Mets, Pittsburgh Pirates, and Colorado Rockies. While chief baseball officer Chaim Bloom and Co. would love to have cracked the top 10, they have plenty of reasons to be optimistic about the future of the franchise.
Four Red Sox prospects made it onto Baseball America's Top 100 rankings: Marcelo Mayer (13th), Brayan Bello (23rd), Triston Casas (30th) and Ceddanne Rafaela (82nd). Other intriguing farmhands include Nick Yorke, Blaze Jordan, Miguel Bleis and Bryan Mata.
Boston recently bolstered its farm system by trading catcher Christian Vazquez to the Houston Astros for prospects Enmanuel Valdez and Wilyer Abreu. It selected shortstop Mikey Romero, shortstop Cutter Coffey, and outfielder Roman Antohny with its first three picks in the 2022 MLB Draft.
