The Boston Red Sox could be busy this offseason trying to improve a roster that ranked among the worst in the shortened 2020 MLB season.

One player who would be a good target for the Red Sox is Eddie Rosario. The 29-year-old left fielder reportedly is on outright waivers, per The Athletic's Ken Rosenthal.

Red Sox catcher Christian Vazquez, judging by his Instagram story Wednesday, thinks Rosario would look good in a Boston uniform.

Rosario batted .257 with 13 home runs, 42 RBI, 31 runs scored and a .316 on-base percentage in 57 games during the 2020 season. His breakout campaign came in 2019 when he batted .276 with a career-high 32 home runs and 109 RBI in 137 games for the Twins.

Tomase: Kluber's notable connection to Boston, explained

The Red Sox should make their big splash in free agency by acquiring a top-end starting pitcher. Boston reportedly has interest in former American League Cy Young Award winner Corey Kluber, who's among the top free agent pitchers this offseason.

Rosario would be an excellent second-tier addition for the Red Sox. He'd provide even more power and outfield depth to a Red Sox lineup that ranked among the AL's best last season.
