Sports Jobs: Celtics PA announcer Eddie Palladino

Share

If you've been to even one Boston Celtics game, you've heard his voice hundreds of times.

Now, here's your chance to meet him -- and to see what goes into one of the coolest jobs in professional sports.

Eddie Palladino has been the Celtics' public address announcer since 2003. That means he's the voice riling up the TD Garden crowd for pregame introductions and bellowing, "Jayson Tatum, for threeeeee!" whenever the C's star hits a deep shot.

But there's more to Palladino's job than just showing up at the Garden and following the action. In fact, Palladino actually starts his preparation at his day job before leaving at about 4:30 p.m. to make his way to the arena.

So, what does a typical day look like for the in-house voice of the Celtics? Check out the video above to watch Palladino take you through his routine while discussing his favorite Celtics season, his signature call and more.
