A return to the New England Patriots was not in the cards for Akiem Hicks.
The free agent defensive lineman has agreed to a two-year deal with the Chicago Bears.
Hicks finished last season with three sacks and 23 total tackles after arriving to New England from New Orleans in a late-September trade for Michael Hoomanawanui.
The Bears welcomed Hicks on Sunday night.
