Are Cubs fans already impatient with Theo?

Apparently it only took two games for Cubs fans to turn on new president of baseball operations Theo Epstein.

When the rockstar executive took over, he was met by immediate and overwhelming support from Cubs fans. But many wondered how long that would last if the product on the field didn't immediately match the success Theo had in Boston or talked about having in Chicago.

Two games is the answer.

Murphy's bar, right outside the Wrigley Field bleachers, wrote "Hey Theo- how 'bout a win already!" on Sunday morning, prior to the third game of the season.

Granted, the Cubs went out and won the Easter Sunday contest against the Nationals -- thanks to Jeff Samardzija's stellar performance -- and it was probably meant in a light-hearted way, the sign foreshadows what could happen as the season wears on.

The 1-3 Cubs have been close in every game so far this year, but they don't look like a team that can contend on paper. That could mean discontent may grow amongst the fanbase, leaving Theo's honeymoon phase rained out.

But that's to be expected, right? It's unreasonable to think Theo can turn a Cubs squad from 90 losses and perennial disappointment into a World Series contender in one winter. It's also unreasonable to think Cubs fans are going to be completely patient with the process and how long it would take Theo and Co. to build a winner.

As the season continues, we may be seeing more signs along these lines.
