Wide receiver was considered an area of need for the Chicago Bears entering the 2020 NFL Draft. And while they ignored the position with their first four picks, they added much-needed speed and juice to the wide receiver room with the selection of Tulane's Darnell Mooney.
While undersized (5-foot-10, 176), Mooney has the kind of field-flipping speed that makes up for his slender frame.
The Bears' passing game needed a speed element after the departure of Taylor Gabriel earlier this offseason, and while Mooney still has a ways to go before becoming a consistent contributor in Chicago, he at least brings an exciting storyline to monitor in training camp.
