2020 NFL Draft: Potential trade partner emerges for Bears in first round

Share

The 2020 NFL Draft is still over two hours away from kicking off, and there's already a team looking to trade out of the first round.

The Tennessee Titans, who pick 29th overall, are looking to move out of Round 1 in an effort to collect more picks in the second round.

Naturally, the Bears immediately come to mind. Armed with the 43rd and 50th picks, Tennessee could potentially be lured to give up their late first-rounder for an extra selection in the top 50.

But before GM Ryan Pace pulls the trigger on any hypothetical deal, he has to have a target in mind. The Titans' pick is usually the sweet spot for a quarterback who slides later than expected, and it usually offers value along the offensive line, too.

Perhaps a big run on cornerbacks occurs in the middle of the first round. If so, and if Pace has that position circled as a must-have this year, he could look to move up 14 spots to grab the best remaining cover guy on the board.

Here's the bottom line: The Bears, if they want to, will have the ability to trade into the first round. The Titans are one of of several teams likely looking to move back.

Your move, Pace.
