2020 NFL Draft: Twitter reacts to Bears selecting Trevis Gipson in fifth round

The Chicago Bears selected Tulsa edge rusher Trevis Gipson in the fifth round of the 2020 NFL Draft in an effort to add more depth and upside to a pass rush that already received a boost with the signing of Robert Quinn in free agency.

Gipson (6-3, 261) had eight sacks for Tulsa in 2019 and was one of the more impressive players at the 2020 Senior Bowl. He has an explosive first step and uses his length to his advantage when competing against opposing offensive tackles, but he's still a raw player who needs pro coaching in order to reach his maximum upside. Fortunately, he'll learn behind two of the league's premier sack artists in Chicago. This is a high upside selection.
