2020 NFL Draft: What's next for Bears after drafting Tulane WR Darnell Mooney?

Ryan Pace's double shot of espresso kicked in, apparently.

After a relatively slow two nights of drafting, Pace has been moving all over the board on Saturday afternoon. Pace traded up with the Eagles to get speedy Tulane wide receiver Darnell Mooney.

After a run on defensive players after taking Cole Kmet in the second round, Pace pivoted back to the offense with the speedster. Mooney profiles similarly to Taylor Gabriel, which is a sensical move considering the team's release of Gabriel a few months back.

So what's next? The Bears only have two picks left, and they're back to back. Things will get slow here for a bit, and then speed up when Pace is back on the clock with picks 226 and 227. If the Bears feel they need O-Line help, Trey Adams (Washington), Prince Tega Wanogho (Auburn), and Terrence Steele (Texas Tech) are all still on the board. Given the way they've drafted so far, however, that doesn't seem as likely anymore.

If the Bears wanted to take a flier on a running back, Arizona State's Eno Benjamin and Illinois State's James Robinson are two names that could compete for RB3 this summer. Hunter Bryant, Thaddeus Moss, and Jared Pinkney (Purdue) could be tight ends added to The Coming Great Tight End Battle of 2020.

If Ryan Pace wanted to keep adding EDGE depth, Minnesota's Carter Coughlin and Penn State's Cam Brown are the last names on a quickly shrinking board there. The QB dream is probably dead.
