Bilal Nichols won't be suspended for punching player

Another Chicago Bears player has been ejected for punching a player. We haven't checked the stats, but the Bears need to be leading the league in ejections from punching opponents.

This time it was defensive lineman Bilal Nichols punching Tampa Bay Buccaneers lineman Ryan Jensen.

The Bears were trailing by 32 points at the time, and clearly players were frustrated. Punching people in helmets is never a wise decision for several reasons... the risk of injury to your hand, further hindering your team by being ejected and ineligible to pay.

Fortunately for the Bears, it looks like they won't lose Nichols for any future games as a result because he's avoided a suspension.

A fine is coming, and that's a win for the Bears.

The Bears were without Robert Quinn on Sunday and Akiem Hicks was inactive.
