The Bears have until 3 p.m. CT to get their active roster to 53 players, and then can begin working on their expanded 16-player practice squad.

SATURDAY (9/5):

The Bears have reportedly released DL Trevon McSwain.

DL/LB LaCale London will be waived with the hope he'll be on the practice squad

PK Cairo Santos was released, but it sounds like he still could be the Bears' Week 1 kicker

DL Abdullah Anderson reportedly will be waived

Same with CB Stephen Denmark.

RB Artavis Pierce will be waived after a solid training camp

FRIDAY (9/4):

As of right now, the Bears have 74 players on their roster, meaning 21 cuts remain to get down to 53. We'll be keeping track of cuts here, though the Bears did not officially waive any players on Friday.

The Bears did waive six players on Thursday:

DL Lee Autry

ILB Keandre Jones

OL Corey Levin

RB Napoleon Maxwell

WR Ahmad Wagner

WR Alex Wesley

Already on Friday, though, a few notable players were released, headlined by Washington running back Adrian Peterson. The Denver Broncos cut veteran inside linebacker Todd Davis, while the Arizona Cardinals waived 2019 fourth-round wide receiver Hakeem Butler.

On Thursday, another surprise cut happened: Ex-Bears safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix was released by the Dallas Cowboys.
