The Chicago Bears have a No. 1 receiver at long last, DJ Moore.
NFL analysts and pundits have frequently pointed to the jump quarterbacks around the league made when getting a No. 1 receiver before their third season. The Buffalo Bills added Stefon Diggs for quarterback Josh Allen. The Philadelphia Eagles traded for A.J. Brown to pair with quarterback Jalen Hurts.
And now Justin Fields has Moore.
"Come to a better situation with just a stable quarterback," Moore told the media on Thursday at his introductory press conference. "You know, the sky's the limit from there."
And the hope is Moore's insertion into the offense will spread the defense, creating opportunities for Darnell Mooney and Chase Claypool as well.
"I think everybody's level could reach a new level here now that I'm here," Moore said. "I was talking to Mooney, we were talking about being together with Chase, me and him. How it's going to elevate the offense and elevate Justin at the same time.
"Because I'm not here just to be like, just a bright light. I'm here to just make everybody around me better and we just want to try to go get some wins."
Moore, Fields, Claypool and Mooney all attended a Chicago Bulls game together on Wednesday night. The bonding has already begun.
Moore recorded three 1,000 yard receiving seasons with a rotation of quarterbacks in Carolina, but with Fields locked in as the franchise quarterback stability could help Moore reach new heights as well.
He was quick to downplay criticism of his former quarterbacks and the rotation of passers with the Panthers as well.

"The way that we got me here was to better the franchise," Moore said. "So that's what I'm here to do. I'm going to put my head down and work hard every day and just go from there."
