Eddie Jackson is receiving some safety love from one of the best defenders in the league. On Thursday, Jackson posted a picture to Instagram of a signed jersey he received from Tyrann Mathieu.
“To: Bo Jack,” the inscription reads, using Jackson’s nickname. “Keep being great brother! Keep leading! More glory.”
Mathieu signed the jersey using his own nickname: Honey Badger.

While Jackson has had a down year in 2020 as he’s yet to record an interception (although to be fair he’s had two pick-sixes negated by penalties), he’s set a career high with 77 tackles. But when it comes to both picking balls off and inflicting punishing hits, you’d be hard pressed to find someone better than Mathieu. That makes Mathieu’s praise for Jackson even more meaningful.
It also goes to show, guys who make a living taking things away like to give back, too.
