The Bears' offensive line has been hit hard by injuries, and it just suffered another.
And potentially another one is in waiting.
Offensive tackle Jason Spriggs has tested positive for COVID-19, according to Ian Rapoport. And guard Germain Ifedi has been identified as a high-risk close contact.
Both players will be placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list, but Ifedi could be cleared to play this weekend against the Titans.
The Bears just lost another offensive tackle in Bobby Massie to a knee injury, and he could be out a month. James Daniels is also out for the season and guard Cody White Hair is week to week with a calf injury.
To account for the holes on the offensive line, the Bears signed Lachavious Simmons from the practice squad to the active roster. The Bears also signed Aaron Neary to the practice squad.
