Jimmy Graham: Mitch Trubisky is ‘pretty special’

Bears

Jimmy Graham has Mitch Trubisky's back.

The Bears stole a Week 1 win with a remarkable comeback, thanks in large part to the performance of the quarterback and tight end combo.

"He's pretty special. The kid wants it, the kid believes," Graham said. "There was never a moment on the sideline when he wasn't upbeat and very positive about what we could and what we were going to do."

Graham calling Trubisky "pretty special" is particularly noteworthy because of his career resume. The veteran has played with some future Hall of Fame quarterbacks in Drew Brees, Russell Wilson and Aaron Rodgers.

Graham acknowledged there was some rust to knock off.

After completing just eight of his 20 pass attempts in the first half, Trubisky broke out in the second half completing 12 of 16 and throwing three touchdowns in the process.

"Mitch led us, he made some huge, huge throws," Graham said.

Some of those huge throws: 18-yards to Anthony Miller, 22-yards to Allen Robinson, a 17-yard strike to Graham to put them on the goal line.

And the biggest of them all, a 27-yard touchdown strike to Miller to win the game.
