Mack, Hicks on track to play vs. Lions

Things are looking up for two of the Bears' best defensive players, as both Khalil Mack and Akiem Hicks look to be on track to play this Sunday against the Lions.

After not practicing on Wednesday, Hicks returned this afternoon in a limited capacity. The defensive tackle suffered a hamstring injury in the Bears' Week 10 loss to Minnesota, forcing him to miss last Sunday night's game in Green Bay. Matt Nagy told reporters that he though Hicks 'looked good' after saying on Tuesday that he hoped Hicks would be able to go this weekend.

And while Khalil Mack was held out of practice for the second straight day with a back injury, Nagy downplayed any concerns on whether he'd miss time, chalking the absences up to precautionary measures.

"I don't think it's anything that we're real concerned about," he said. "You get into this part of the season and you want to make sure that you don't overdo certain things, so that's kind of where we've been at the last few days with him. But I feel confident that he'll be able to go."
