Bears-Lions predictions: Most experts expect CHI to lose

There was concern it might never come, but it's here. Week 1 of the NFL season is officially underway.

And first up for the Bears are the Detroit Lions.

Line: DET -2.5

Home teams generally get a 3-point bump, so based on that line the oddsmakers think this is a pretty even match up giving Detroit the normal home field bump. The difference with the 2020 season is the empty or semi-empty stadiums. Will home-field advantage be a thing in 2020, or is that negated without fans?

The Bears and Trubisky have had the Lions and Matt Patricia's number. Trubisky has thrown more touchdowns (11) against the Lions than any other opponent in his career.

Last year the Bears were 4-12 against the spread. The 2018 Bears were 12-5 against the spread.

We're all waiting to see which version of Matt Nagy's Bears we get in 2020.

The media is picking the Lions pretty heavily, PickWatch has the 68% of pundits and predictors picking the Lions to win.
