Never say never, but it sure doesn't sound like Leonard Fournette is coming to Chicago.
Fournette, who was cut by the Jaguars on Tuesday, has been connected to the Bears via sketchy Twitter rumors and head-turning betting odds. The team's depth took a hit when David Montgomery went down with a groin injury, but he's not expected to miss more than a few games at most.
In theory, plugging Fournette into a room with Tarik Cohen, Cordarrelle Patterson, Ryan Nall and Artavis Pierce sounds nice – and cost friendly, given that Fournette's $4.1 million base salary was wiped out (for now) when the running back cleared waivers – but it doesn't sound like that's going to happen.

"We really like where we're at right now with our running back room," Nagy said. "I understand. We explore everything. Ryan and those guys do a great job. They're always looking at all scenarios and then we talk through things. And so we look at it all but I'll just say we really like where we're at right now with where we're at with our running back room."
Obviously Nagy's not going to say YES ACTUALLY WE ARE SIGNING HIM, GOOD SCOOP but it sounds like the Bears don't have a whole lot of interest in the former 4th overall pick. Fournette's coming off a career-best 1,152 yard performance last season, and in 3 seasons with Jacksonville, ran for a total of 2631 yards with 17 touchdowns.
