Sounds like the Bears are running it back next year. You were right! Hours before one of the most impactful games of Matt Nagy's tenure, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport is reporting that the Bears head coach is 'expected to return' to Chicago next season, regardless of today's outcome:
"His team lost six straight, looked to be headed in completely the wrong direction," Rapoport said. "He gave up play-calling. It was all going bad. Instead, they've won three games in a row. He is expected back, I'm told. And also, I'm told he's taken a much heavier hand in play-calling, which has helped them down the stretch."
There you have it: another stressful storyline to burden you in the lead up to one of the biggest Bears games in years.
