Nick Foles hurt, carted off field after taking big hit

Nick Foles appeared to seriously injure himself in the final minute of the Bears’ Monday Night Football game against the Vikings.

Down six points with just over 40 seconds left, the Bears were trying to mount a comeback drive to win the game. On first down, Foles hung in the pocket as long as he could trying to extend the play so his receivers could get open downfield, but he ended up being thrown to the ground hard.

Foles lay on the ground for several minutes and needed to be carted off the field. It’s unclear what part of his body was injured, but head coach Matt Nagy said it was a hip or leg injury.

"He's a tough dude. But he was in a lot of pain," Nagy said.

With Mitchell Trubisky sidelined with a shoulder injury, Tyler Bray came in to finish the game.

Nagy said Trubisky is day-to-day and there's a possibility Trubisky will be back after the bye week when the Bears play the Packers on Sunday Night Football.
