Coming off of the bye week, the Bears begin the AFC East portion of their schedule with four-straight games against the same division. It starts in Week 6 with the Miami Dolphins, who are currently tied with the New England Patriots for first place at 3-2.
After starting out 3-0, the Dolphins have lost back-to-back games in embarrassing fashion, and the national confidence in their hot start has dwindled.
Las Vegas sports books initially opened with Chicago as one-point favorites over Miami, but the line moved to the Bears by three within hours, according to Vegas Insider.
This team has now been favored for four games in a row, the first time that’s happened since 2012.
The over/under is set around 42 and 43 at most sports books, projecting to be one of the lowest-scoring games of the week.
The Dolphins have scored just 24 points over their last two games combined, and they face a Bears defense allowing only 16.3 points per game.
Chicago’s success may once again come down to Mitchell Trubisky and the offense doing enough to take advantage of what their defense gives them. Vegas oddsmakers think the Bears will get the job done and keep the winning streak going.
