The Bears resigned long snapper Patrick Scales Thursday to a one-year deal, according to the Chicago Tribune's Brad Biggs.
The 32-year-old has been the team's long snapper since 2015. He has played in 53 games over the past five seasons with Chicago. He did not play in 2017 due to a torn ACL injury that happened during the preseason.

Before his first regular season game in 2014, Scales was involved with the Baltimore Ravens, Miami Dolphins, New York Jets and Tampa Bay Buccaneers from 2011-2014. He played in two games for the Ravens before coming to Chicago. He has five career tackles.
