The Bears announced the first round of roster cuts on Thursday morning, releasing six different players as the team starts paring down the roster size to 53.

Napoleon Maxwell, WRs Alex Wesley and Ahmad Wagner, OL Corey Levin, DL Lee Autry and LB Keandre Jones were all among the first wave of players let go. Levin and Wesley had been on the team's practice squad last season, while Maxwell, Autry, Jones, and Wagner, were all undrafted free agents.

The move brings the Bears' roster to 74. The team has until Sunday's 3 p.m. deadline to make 21 more cuts before they have to announced the final 53-man squad.
