Bears sign former Saints DE Mario Edwards

The Bears have reportedly signed former New Orleans Saints defensive end Mario Edwards.

NFL Network's Mike Garafolo tweeted the news on Sunday morning:

Edwards was originally drafted by the Oakland Raiders in the 2nd round (35th overall) of 2015's NFL Draft. He spent three seasons in Oakland before moving on to stints with the Giants (2018) and the Saints (2019). New Orleans had released him earlier this weekend.

In 59 career games, Edwards has 24 starts, 10.5 sacks, 71 solo tackles and 23 QB hits.
