NFL Network's Good Morning Football host Kyle Brandt names the Chicago Bears as Super Bowl contenders. Or as we say in Chicago, duh.

The Chicagoland native and former Princeton University running back spoke on Good Morning Football on how the Bears played Monday night and what their 31-15 win against the Redskins means for the team going forward. When asked if fans should see the Bears as Super Bowl contenders three weeks in, this was Brandt’s response.

“I think last night was really important because there has been so much focus on Trubisky,” Brandt explained. “I think Matt Nagy has not had a great season, he’s been very very flat, a little tight maybe. Last night, Matt Nagy flexed a little bit. He had these crazy goal line plays, he’s doing full house back field, Cordarrelle Patterson is getting carries, he’s putting them in awkward positions. Are they a Super Bowl contender? Yes, they are.”

After a somewhat rocky start for the Bears, it feels good to get another W under the belt and to have commentators feel good about Chicago’s chances. Let’s keep this energy going into Week 4!
