Chicago Bears fans who will miss watching Kyle Long on the field every Sunday will now get a chance to watch the former offensive lineman break games down behind a newsdesk. CBS announced on Monday that Long will join That Other Pregame Show this season.

“As a recently retired player, Kyle brings a knowledge straight from the field of today’s game coupled with the mindset of its current generation of athletes,” said Harold Bryant, CBS Sports’ Executive Producer and Senior Vice President of Production in a statement. “His experience as an offensive lineman also will contribute a unique point of view which will complement that of his colleague London Fletcher, who spent 16 seasons as a linebacker in the NFL.”

“I am very excited to begin my broadcasting career by joining the CBS Sports family and the TOPS team,” said Long in a statement. “I look forward to bringing my experience and perspective as a recent player coming right off the field to the show each and every Sunday of the NFL season.”

While Long is technically a TV analyst rookie, he’s gotten some reps as a broadcaster recently. Earlier this year, Long joined David Kaplan as a co-host on WMVP for a series of shows. He’s also streamed video games, and even some Bears game analysis on his Twitch channel.

The Bears drafted long in the first round of the 2013 draft. He started 76 games over his career with the Bears, was a three-time Pro Bowler and made the second All-Pro team in 2014.
