Mitch Trubisky says he's motivated to prove his doubters wrong in 2020

Mitch Trubisky is a motivated quarterback entering the 2020 season. And he better be. He's fighting for his starting job with veteran Nick Foles and if he loses, his run as an NFL starter could be over (anywhere.)

Trubisky held a Zoom call with reporters on Friday and said he's fired up for his make-or-break year.

"I'm just trying to prove everybody wrong," Trubisky said. "And my teammates right."

Trubisky's regression in 2019 was obvious to anyone who watched the games. He finished the year with 3,138 yards, 17 TDs and 10 INTs in 15 starts in a year that was supposed to be his Level 202 season under Matt Nagy.

There's no doubt he possesses the kind of physical tools to emerge as a viable long-term starter in the league, but his inconsistent play through three seasons in the NFL has him at a career crossroads.

So, yeah, it's time for Trubisky to prove everybody wrong. It's now or never.
