Ryan Poles makes fourth trade to add even more picks

The Bears have done it again. For the fourth time on Saturday, Ryan Poles made a trade to acquire more picks.

The latest was a move to send the No. 166 overall pick to the Bengals in exchange for Nos. 174 and 226. The Bears are now slated to finish the draft with 11 picks, after entering the weekend with six picks.

The crazy Saturday started with a deal to send a 2023 sixth-round pick to the Chargers in exchange for two 2022 seventh-rounders. Then, the Bears made two more moves in quick succession in the fifth round. First, Poles sent the No. 148 pick to the Buffalo Bills in exchange for Nos. 168 and 203. Then, he moved down from No. 150 to pick up the Nos. 166 and 207 picks from the Texans. That No. 166 pick didn’t stick around for long, though, as he turned it over to the Bengals.

The Bears finally made a selection with pick No. 168. They drafted left tackle Braxton Jones to bolster the offensive line room. Then they added edge rusher Dominique Robinson with pick No. 174.
