Playoffs? Jordan Howard followed Alshon Jeffery's lead and made a bold guarantee for the Bears

Jordan Howard is making a guarantee.

For Chicago football fans who are still a bit stung that Alshon Jeffery's Super Bowl guarantee came true with the Philadelphia Eagles instead of the Bears, they can now get excited over a new guarantee from their star running back.

Howard tweeted this after Jeffery's Eagles won the Super Bowl earlier this month:

Monday, he got an opportunity to do just that on NFL Network.

"The Bears, we're definitely going to have a winning season, we're going to get to the playoffs," Howard said on Good Morning Football. "So I'm guaranteeing we get to the playoffs."

A bold claim from Howard considering the Bears had double-digit losses and were the last-place finishers in the NFC North last season. But there's reason to be hopeful, including the continued growth of quarterback Mitch Trubisky, a defense that showed great improvement last season under Vic Fangio and a new offensive system installed by new head coach Matt Nagy.

And then there's Howard, who had another great statistical season in 2017, rushing for 1,122 yards with nine touchdown carries. Howard ranked sixth in the NFL in rushing yardage and third in rushing touchdowns.

So guarantee away. Howard might not become the next Joe Namath, but Chicago fans will sure appreciate it if his guarantee comes true.
