Prince Amukamara, Anthony Miller miss Bears practice Wednesday

The Bears were one of the healthiest teams in the league through the first three weeks of the season, but it started to catch up with them a little bit on Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals.

Both cornerback Prince Amukamara and rookie wide receiver Anthony Miller left the game with injuries, and neither was able to practice when Chicago returned to the field Wednesday.

Cornerback Marcus Cooper also sat out after missing Week 3 with a hamstring injury, but safety DeAndre Houston-Carson was a full participant for the first time since breaking his forearm in the preseason.

If Amukamara and Cooper are unable to go on Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, undrafted rookie free agent Kevin Toliver would likely get the start. He filled in last week and allowed four catches for 54 yards on five targets, according to Pro Football Focus.

The Bears’ cornerback depth will be tested by a Tampa Bay offense that leads the league in passing and ranks third in total points. This isn’t a good situation to start a UDFA, but the injuries to their starter and top backup may force Vic Fangio into relying on Toliver to slow down Ryan Fitzpatrick.
