Tarik Cohen says Bears have ‘an offense full of weapons'

The Chicago Bears had an offseason to remember in 2018. It's been centered around offense, which naturally excites a fan base that had to sit through Mike Glennon's dinks and dunks and even more conservative play-calling when Mitch Trubisky took over as the starter in 2017.

One of the few sources of offensive bliss from an otherwise abysmal year was running back Tarik Cohen, who joined NFL Network's Good Morning Football on Tuesday. He had plenty of superlatives to say about Matt Nagy, especially when it comes to his side of the ball.

"He [Nagy] definitely brings a new energy, he's like a young guy and he's always excited every day," Cohen said. "That just trickles down and makes us excited as well, and when everybody's excited to work, the progress that we're getting is amazing and the outcome is going to be good."

The Bears added several new pieces on offense to team with Cohen, Mitch Trubisky and the rest of the returning starters. Cohen said players like Allen Robinson, Trey Burton and Taylor Gabriel are fitting in well.

"We're fitting in great," Cohen said. "It's wonderful when you can have an offense full of weapons because then not just one person can be double teamed. Everybody's going to get that chance to be in that one-on-one situation. That's where you can see more big plays in the offense."

Those big plays should turn into more wins for the Bears, who have struggled to compete in the NFC North over the last few seasons. Cohen said 2018 is the year Chicago goes from the kids' table to eating steak in the division:

The Bears kick off Matt Nagy's first training camp on July 21, where an appetite for wins will only grow.
