Bears fans were bummed when the Vikings swooped in and outbid them in a trade for kicker Kaare Vedvik three weeks ago, and understandably so. Neither Eddy Pineiro and Elliot Fry had taken a hold of the job through camp, and Vedvik was coming off a 4-4 performance – capped off by an impressive 55-yarder – against the Jaguars.
The #Vikings informed kicker/punter Kaare Vedvik they’re waiving him, per source. Vedvik – acquired three weeks ago for a fifth-round pick – could be back on the practice squad. But they’ll roll with Dan Bailey as kicker and Matt Wile as punter.— Tom Pelissero (@TomPelissero) August 31, 2019
The Bears don't even have the most disastrous kicking situation in their own division, and it's not even Week 1. The season's already a success!
