WATCH: Mitch Trubisky throws 3 TDs in Week 10 win

Bears quarterback Mitch Trubisky has been battered, bruised and beaten this year, and not just by opposing defenses. He's been the primary target for blame during a disappointing 3-5 start to the season, a start which raised concerns about whether he and the offense were even capable of turning things around.

And that's why his semi-breakout performance on Sunday against the Lions is worth highlighting. The Bears won, 20-13, and Trubisky was a big reason why. It's the first time all year that that can be said for this team after a win.

He finished the game 16-of-23 for 173 yards and three touchdowns. He was in command of the offense and threw the ball with more confidence and accuracy than at any point this year.
