Bickell's OT goal evens series

GLENDALE, Ariz. -- For the second consecutive game the Blackhawks found a late score and new life in overtime. And this time, they took advantage of it.

Patrick Sharp tipped in a Brent Seabrook shot with 5.5 seconds remaining in regulation, and Bryan Bickell scored midway through overtime as the Blackhawks beat the Phoenix Coyotes 4-3 in Game 2 of their Western Conference quarterfinal series on Saturday night.

The Blackhawks got another late goal to get to overtime, and overcame some early penalties -- good and very questionable -- to rally.

Andrew Shaw was called for charging and assessed a game misconduct after his collision with goaltender Mike Smith in the second period. Smith was down on the ice for several moments, seemingly injured. But Smith then popped up and finished the game. Jonathan Toews was also called for an inexplicable goaltending interference call on Smith, who was way out of the net at the time. The Coyotes came through with power-play goals on both.
