Illinois' play so far this season has been up and down, but one Fighting Illini has done enough to earn some national attention.

Illini wideout Geronimo Allison was one of 15 players added to the watch list for the 2015 Biletnikoff Award on Tuesday. The award is handed out each season to the nation's top receiver.

Allison ranks third in the Big Ten and 22nd in the country with 362 receiving yards. His 24 catches through four games rank third in the Big Ten, just two receptions off conference leader Jordan Westerkamp.

Allison is coming off a career-best 10-catch, 128-yard day in Illinois' win over Middle Tennessee State, his second triple-digit yardage game of the season.

Two other Big Ten receivers, Michigan State's Aaron Burbridge and Indiana's Ricky Jones, were also added to the watch list Tuesday.

No Illinois receiver has ever won the Biletnikoff Award, and just four Big Ten wideouts have won since the award was first handed out in 1994: Penn State's Bobby Engram (1994), Ohio State's Terry Glenn (1995), Michigan State's Charles Rogers (2002) and Michigan's Braylon Edwards (2004).
