Northwestern Wildcats have epic reaction after receiving first NCAA Tournament berth in school history

The celebration is on in Evanston.

Watching in a packed Welsh-Ryan arena, Northwestern players, coaches and fans erupted after receiving the school's first NCAA Tournament berth ever

It was a special moment for those in attendance, and the party is likely to continue throughout the night. Why shouldn't it? After the Big Dance has eluded the Cats for so many years, it's probably time to go a little crazy.

We know Julia Louis-Dreyfus will lead the celebration charge. The Seinfeld and Veep star, who is the proud mom of Northwestern guard Charlie Hall, tweeted an amazing gif after hearing the news.

The Wildcats (23-11) were given the No. 8 seed in the West Region and will meet Vanderbilt (19-15) in the first round. Their opening test will be in Salt Lake City.

Hopefully fans who went nuts after the announcement will also make the trip to Utah.
