When Michael Jordan called Jim Harbaugh: ‘Who is this, really?'

Jim Harbaugh thought he was totally getting pranked.

After Michigan and Nike signed their gajillion-dollar deal earlier this summer, it was announced that Michigan football would be the first football team to be outfitted by Jordan brand, the subset of Nike operated by the greatest basketball player of all time, Michael Jordan. That was apparently facilitated by Jordan himself, who reached out to Harbaugh, the Wolverines' first-year head football coach.

Harbaugh was asked about that phone call during Thursday's press conference, telling reporters he really didn't believe it was His Airness at first.

I'd be skeptical, too, if someone called me saying they were Michael Jordan.

Harbaugh's team will sport that "Jumpman" logo on their uniforms beginning next season.

It's not a bad recruiting pitch: Michigan, where you can be like Mike.
