The Blackhawks announced on Monday that the teams has extended their agreement with their ECHL affiliation team, the Toledo Walleye, through the 2013-14 season. The ECHL is the leading development league for the American Hockey League and National Hockey League.
The 2011-2012 campaign marked Toledo's third season as a Chicago affiliate. Head coach and director of hockey operations Nick Vitucci lead the team to a 28-38-2-4 record throughout last season.
