The Blackhawks fired assistant coach Mike Haviland onTuesday, approximately two weeks after the team's season ended in the firstround.Haviland has been with the Blackhawks the past fourseasons, joining the staff in July of 2008. He was head coach of Norfolk(2005-07) and Rockford (2007-08) prior to that. Haviland was a finalist for theWinnipeg Jets coaching job last summer.Coach Joel Quenneville will address the situation latertonight.
