Scouting report:
NHL
"Seth Jarvis is a real good two-way player, competitive kid." — Blackhawks Vice President of Amateur Scouting Mark Kelley
"A smart, skilled player who executes with pace and excels as a penalty-killer. Jarvis creates offense with his vision, quickness and playmaking ability." — Mike G. Morreale, NHL.com
"Left a lasting impression with a second half that saw him put up 65 points in his last 31 games played." — Sam Cosentino, Sportsnet
Fit for Blackhawks:
In the NHL Central Scouting rankings, Jarvis went from No. 19 at the midterm to No. 11 by the end of the season among North American skaters because of his breakout season in the WHL. He finished second among all skaters with 98 points (42 goals, 56 assists) in 58 games for a points-per-game average of 1.69.
Jarvis is quickly rising on draft boards and might not be available for the Blackhawks at No. 17 because of it. But if he is, the 18-year-old winger would check a lot of boxes for the Blackhawks and would slot in nicely on the right side behind Patrick Kane.
